It could affect if an employer decides to hire me or not because some things on there could be inappropriate and/or unprofessional. It could also affect the way people think of me as a person because if I post negative things, people could think I am a negative person.

You could use the THINK method, you could consider how it could affect your future, for example, it could affect if an employer decides to hire you or not. You could also consider how it affects your present, for example, if someone judges you based on what you post, it could create a negative opinion if you post negative things. It could also make your life dangerous if you post the wrong things.

I would post less information about myself because I got lucky that the information I posted didn’t make my life dangerous. I would tell my younger self to always double-check what I’m putting out there because you never know what could come back and bite you. Although I did post some poorly thought out things, I have been overall well-behaved on the internet.
