This Graphic Arts assignment was a posterizing assignment using royalty free nature photos in Adobe photoshop/illustrator. We were assigned to pick a royalty free nature photo/image and then posterizing it using the main colours in the image to simplify the image. We had to re-draw the image using the pen tools and other tools to create a more simplified image, which was later used for another project. I have always liked to draw, so being able to posterize a more complex image to create the finer details seemed pretty basic for me. Since I study art it was also easy for me to find the right colour combinations to use in this project. Being able to keep the shadows and the main points alive were also challenging because I was not used to drawing/using the computer. Some other challenges I faced while completing this assignment was trying to keep every layer organized. I ended up having around 70 layers in total and I had to make sure that nothing in the image was left out or left in, which was extremely time consuming and complex.
