  1. Hi Ah-Ra! Your learning centre was nicely organized and easy to read, and the Prezi was a great way to present your timeline. I liked the blend of pictures and videos with the rest of your information. Dana Terrace seems like a super cool person and has an inspirational story. How do you think going to the School of Visual Art in New York shaped Dana as a person?

    • Hi Makenna! Thank you so much! I think that attending the School of Visual Arts shaped Dana by giving her the right assets, skills, inspiration and connections for success. For example, when working with others on projects such as short films, Dana made many connections that benefitted her as she learned different skills from her peers, got inspiration from others, and improved upon her knowledge.

  2. Hi,
What do you think the average person can do on a daily basis to make everyone feel welcome?
    Mrs. Chambers

    • Hi Mrs. Chambers! I think that everyone has many opportunities to make others feel welcome. Some examples could include to treat others with respect and kindness with no bigotry or favoritism. The average person can also look out for others who seem to be excluded, and avoid excluding others. Making others feel welcome can be as simple as smiling at others as well because this lets others know that they’re appreciated.

  3. Hello Ah-Ra, I really enjoyed your website especially all of the illustrations. It is great that by choosing a member of the LGBTQ+ you are spreading the message of inclusion of all people. How would Dana Terrace’s life and career be different if she was not as open about her sexuality?

    • Hello Mahtab! Thank you so much! To answer your question, I think that Dana definitely would have gotten less hate, but she still would have gotten homophobia-derived hate because the show she made still has a lot of LGBTQ+ representation. Also, not coming out to others might have changed Dana Terrace’s mental state because something as big as your sexuality is a hard secret to hide.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G BLOG POST. Very well done 10 out of 10!!!
Your website is extremely neat and easy to follow, not to mention it’s super easy to follow and learn on it. Loved the formatting and don’t get me started on the illustrations. Dana is such a talented artist like holy cow her illustrations are sooooo good. Now I haven’t watched The Owl House yet but after checking out your Learning Centre I might just have to, the characters look interesting and the art style/animation is top tier. The Kickball animation was also super cute. Besides your website being gorgeous, the information was all there and I had a fun time learning. One thing I would do to make this pop out even more would to sell yourself more and make this blog post itself pop out more. Maybe add some pictures or such to make it stand out, like the website.
    Anyhow great job!
A question I have for you is “What does Dana Terrace do in her free time besides drawing and animating?”
One more question I got is “any good shows that you’d recommend to me?”
    thanks!

    • Hi Justin! Thank you so much for the feedback! Outside of drawing and animating, Dana Terrace has been spotted doing numerous helpful acts like participating in charity live streams, and watching shows and hyping them up. Currently, Dana is hard at work on season 2 of The Owl House, so it seems that she doesn’t have much time to do anything else. To answer your second questions, personally, I’d recommend that you watch Amphibia and Gravity Falls. All of these shows are cartoons, but they are similar to The Owl House in that they are suitable for all ages because they have more complex storylines and have Easter eggs that you could explore.

  5. Hey Ah-Ra! Great job — I love the layout of your website and the inclusion of Terrace’s drawings. There are a lot of creatives who were employed by Disney but who did not fit the corporation’s image and went their own way. Tim Burton is an example of this. Do you think that Dana Terrace will move forward with starting her own studio or connecting with other ones? What might her business look like if she did (based on what you know about her)?

    • Hello Ms. Wasstrom! Thank you! Currently, I’m not sure that Dana Terrace will move away from Disney any time soon because The Owl House season two is still a work in progress. But, if she does have any project ideas in the future that Dana would want to pursue, I think that she would move to another studio or make her own. If she did create her own business, I imagine it to be a studio that creates many diverse shows that work on creating more representation of smaller communities that need it.

  6. Hi Ah-Ra, great Learning Centre! I will definitely have to check out The Owl House, especially as a Gravity Falls fan! I am inspired by how Dana Terrance fought for what she believed in, as we all know how important it is for children to see themselves properly represented on-screen. Somewhat similar to Ms. Wasstrom’s question above, I wonder why, with all the push-back from Disney to get her show produced, and specifically the challenges she faced to represent the LGBTQ+ community in her show, she still stuck with Disney and didn’t choose to work with another studio?

    • Hello Ms. Lee! I’m happy to know that you also enjoyed Gravity Falls! I think that, because Dana Terrace still stuck with Disney because she was in the middle of creating season 2 of The Owl House when she got the news about her show getting cut short, she just wanted to finish what she started despite her struggles. Also, Disney a very big and successful company, so I believe that Dana’s thought process was more focused on how she can get her show more exposure and viewers because in the end, Dana Terrace still got a show that has LGBTQ+ representation in it and helps people who may not fit in feel welcome, so she might as well try to show it to everyone!

  7. Hi AhRa, I like your learning center. There were lots of links to other videos and websites, and it was very interactive. What difficulties did Dana face when she came out?

    • Hello Robert! Thanks for your feedback! When Dana Terrace came out, she obviously got some hate, but I wouldn’t say that she had very many difficulties when she came out because most of her fans are a part of or allies of the LGBTQ+ community, so her fans were quite supportive.

  8. WOW Ah-Ra your learning centre is phenomenal! I absolutely loved learning all about Dana Terrace, she seems so inspirational! I love that she was so determined to push for diversity and inclusion! Really really amazing!!

  9. Hey Ah-Ra! I loved your website and the presentation of it. It was beautifully organized and I loved the integration of her artwork. When she wanted LGBTQ+ representation to be in Owl House and Disney didn’t approve of it, how did she convince them to put it in the show?

    • Hi Annie! I’m glad that you liked my learning center! Dana Terrace actually stormed out of the room and showed the others that she was upset about the fact that the others didn’t like the idea of a casual representation of LGBTQ+ in the storyline. One to two weeks later, she was given the all-clear for putting LGBTQ+ representation in the show.

  10. Hey Ah-Ra, I love your website, it’s very aesthetic and pleasing to look at. I love how interactive your center is, it’s engaging and fun! One question, do you think Dana being a member of the LGBTQ+ community gave her an advantage or disadvantage in her field of work?
