Thanks for sharing so many aspects of your life with us in a creative and well spoken interview. You are quite the actor, writer and story teller. Never mind cook. What is your favourite recipe and why? Which was your favourite country to visit and why?

Thank you for the interesting questions. I have visited many countries, but my favourite has always been Vietnam. Vietnam was one of the first destinations that I visited on my first show, A Cook’s Tour. My travels in Vietnam opened my eyes and I embraced the identity of a traveller. Even though I was an American, the people treated me like family. Favourite recipe? Probably something I cook for my daughter. Scrambled eggs or blueberry pancakes. That makes her smile.

Nice work! I can really see the effort you put into this. I really like the interviews you provided, giving this offline learning center an in-person feel. Traveling the world and all, what kind of cultural fusion food would you like to see the most?

Cultural fusion? I’m usually weary of chefs who try to mix different cultures within one dish. I prefer authentic food that regular people eat and enjoy with their family. If I had to pick something, I would want to bring Singapore’s Hawkers centers to America.
