Photography “Architecture” Assignment

Outdoor Architecture:

In this image, I am capturing the defined lines and slopes that run across this church adjacent to our school. Another goal of mine was to make an emphasis on the vibrant yellow cross at the peak of the church which contrasts nicely against the blue sky.

In this image, I tried to capture the main entrance of our school with all the trees framing the archway very nicely. In addition, I made an effort to include the lamp posts on either side of the frame to represent the symmetry of the walkway.

Indoor Architecture:

In this image, I made an effort to represent the symmetry in the lobby area of our school. With the staircase that splits off in two directions and the pillars on either side of the staircase, you can make the assumption, although incorrect, that the school itself could also be symmetrical.

In this image, I tried to capture sort of the same idea that I was going for in the previous photograph. Although this perspective is from the top of the stairs, you could most likely continue the other thought of our school being symmetrical, even though it’s just the lobby that has a lot of symmetry.
