Photography “Lighting” Assignment

Natural Light:

In order to get the lighting for this setup, I had Justin stand next to me and hold out the silver reflective surface to bounce the light on to Sinu’s face. This resulted in his face having more shadows along his right side which allows for the other side of his face to be more illuminated.

In order to get the lighting for this setup, I didn’t add any extra light on to Sinu’s face. This resulted in his face having less shadows along his right side which allows for his entire face to be more evenly illuminated.

Three Point Light:

In order to get the lighting for this setup, I set up a key light that was slightly higher and tilted down at Sinu to light up his face. This resulted in his face having more shadows along his right side which allows for the other side of his face to be more illuminated.

In order to get the lighting for this setup, I set up a key light and added a fill light that was on the other side of the key light at half the brightness to light up his face. This resulted in his face having less shadows along his right side which allows for his entire face to be more evenly illuminated.

In order to get the lighting for this setup, I set up a key light, a fill light, and a halo light that was behind Sinu to make an extra glow along his right side. This resulted in that glow which helps him pop out from the black background while also keeping that even light across his face.
