I chose a metal straw website because I feel it is important not to use plastic straws. My favourite animal is a sea turtle and they are going extinct because of all the plastic straws and any other kind of plastic in the ocean. Metal straws are reusable and healthy for the environment.

I chose this website because I love skincare. The creator of this brand(Millie Bobby Brown) is someone I look up to very much because she tells everyone that they should feel comfortable in their own skin. Her products are very simple but remind everyone that you do not need to wear makeup because you are beautiful no matter what. This means a lot to me because I feel that some people think that they need to hide their face when they don’t.

 

Watching Netflix is one of my favourite things to do in my free time. My favourite shows that are on Netflix are Riverdale, Greys Anatomy, Stranger Things, and my favourite movie is IT. I normally watch Netflix at night after I come home from dance and have finished my homework.

I chose a picture of a sea turtle because they are my favourite animal. They live in hawaii which is my favourite place so I love seeing sea turtles when I go there. I have swam with a few sea turtles before in the ocean and it is one of my favourite things to do. I find them so beautiful and peaceful.

1. How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities? Give at least two examples.

The different things you post online can be seen by many people and will never be gone even if you delete it. You have to be very careful about what you do on the internet because one day you may regret your decisions. If someone was wanting to hire you and they looked you up they may find things you dont want them to find.

2. Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe.

  • Do not post images of yourself or your location.
  • do not post anything inappropriate on your account.
  • do not post anything offensive towards others.

3. If you could go back in time, is there anything you would do differently online? Think of what type of advice you would pass on to your younger self or other students. How could you go about explaining it to them?

I don’t think I would do anything different because I feel that I made smart decisions online. One thing that I would tell myself is not to believe everything you see. So many things are twisted on the internet so unless you know the real story do not assume anything.
