Remote Learning Reflection

Q: What are your thoughts on hybrid learning (in person and at home) compared to when you are in your learning groups (at school for all classes). Which format do you prefer, and why?

A: I think that the hybrid learning is less effective. I prefer in class learning because I feel less focused on my work because I’m at home and distracted by other things.

Q: How has technology benefitted you during the hybrid learning experience?

A: Technology has benefitted me during the hybrid learning experience by enabling me to continue my education without significant disruption from covid.

Q: How has technology impeded you during the hybrid learning experience?
A: Technology has impeded me during the hybrid experience because while it may still allow me to learn, there is still that distraction of video games and other things too.

Q: What is one core competency that you already were proficient with that helped you succeed during hybrid learning when you were forced to be more independent? Provide one piece of evidence to support your answer.

A: I think personal awareness and responsibility was the competency that helped me the most. This helped me in many cases because I knew that I had to do my work and it was my responsibility to do it.

Q: What is one core competency that you have improved or developed during the hybrid learning portions of the year? Provide one piece of evidence to support your answer.

A: I think creativity was one that I have developed. I developed this more because without the teachers in the room with me all the time I had to think more outside the box as how I did my projects. An example of a project that I had to do was the superwatch in power tech.
