Favourite Pages
Yummly is an amazing website where I can find any recipe and find one I can work with. It asks a series of questions about what you prefer or need in a recipe, and filters the results to match you with the right one. I often don’t have all the ingredients most recipes ask for, and with Yummly, I can happily bake some cookies without having to make a trip to the store for unsalted butter.
Sometimes, I get anxious about keeping my brain up with my grade level because I want to do well in class and not fall behind. When in doubt, I go to Khan Academy to do a little extra learning. It helps me feel more confident in my work and it’s a great way to learn. The online format keeps students engaged, and it allows them to learn at their own pace. What I like about Khan Academy is that effort and achievement is awarded with points, badges, and new options to customize your profile with, making it a fun experience.
Pictures
Both of these pictures represent things I love doing.
I usually just draw simple drawings with a pencil or pen, but I have a greater appreciation for colouring, especially with felt pens or coloured pencils. Therefore, the first picture represents my interest in art because it was done with coloured pencil, and this way of using colour is an art style I’d like to try, so you can say it’s also inspiring to me.
The second picture represents my love of baking. Since the time I baked my first batch of muffins, I’ve been trying to bake all sorts of goodies. What got me into baking was the simplicity of it, but it can get more complex as you experiment with ingredients and ways to decorate, which makes it all the more amusing. However, though what I said before was true, I mainly chose this picture because the colours look really nice and they match with the colours in the first picture. I’m wired to make any blog, page, or presentation I create pleasing to the eye.
