Welcome to my In-Depth Presentation!
Good evening, I am David Li from the TALONS class, and thank you for joining me here tonight! For my In-Depth project, I chose to do traditional ink-wash painting.
I created a Prezi (<–) presentation as a brief overview for my in-depth year.
As I mentioned in the presentation, I ran out of supplies and was unable to meet with my mentor at all after spring break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so I had to come up with some alternative solutions. In the end, I settled on changing my topic to Chinese calligraphy.
Thanks for joining me here tonight, and if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments section below.
Great job David, your paintings are amazing! Awesome work taking a problem and spinning it to find an innovative solution. Are you planning on pursuing a career in art? You have a lot of talent!
I’ve done calligraphy in the past, and I hated it because I was so bad at it. So it’s actually really cool to see some nicely done calligraphy! The paintings were really well done as well!
What an amazing presentation! It’s clear that a lot of effort was put into your project! WOW!
You’re progress is evident.
You clearly put a lot of time and effort into this!!!
This is really cool David! I can really see your progress from your before and after photos.
Yoooooooooooooooo great job dude! I can tell you’ve practiced traditional ink-wash painting a lot over the pst few months. Keep it up! 🙂
These paintings are stunning! I’ve never seen a talons learner take on this skill before – very creative!
David great job on In-Depth!
Hi,
I was wondering how you dealt with frustration when you had to change your topic?
David! You are so creative!! The caligraphies are so neat!
Thankyou!
David, you are so artistic! These are awesome!
Thanks!
I love your paintings David! Is it something you see yourself continuing to do in the future?
Thankyou! I will probably continue doing this next year.
What was your favorite part of this project and why? You had to take a 180 degree turn and you made it work.
My favorite part of the project was seeing myself improve during spring break because I was stuck at home with nothing else to do. It was really satisfying comparing my work with what I did just several days earlier and seeing a clear improvement.
Your paintings are so beautiful!
Thanks!
Your ink paintings are really cool David!
Thank you!
