One reason why digital footprint mgiht affect your future is because colleges and universties look into people digital footprint to make sure that they are respectful of and online. Another example is it could affect your chances of getting and job, when they search for candidates for a job they look at persons digital footprint. If you were disgraceful, or said something wrong it could cost you that job.

2. Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe.

(1) Make all of your socail media platforms private, this can ensure that you are not meeting the wrong people or strangers you dont know.

(2) Use the THINK tips, before posting you can think, is it true, helpful, inpirsering, necessary, kind. These can help you make you digital foot print appropriate because it will teach you to not post things that would most likely cost you a prfeesoinal job.

(3)Another thing that you can do is to not overshare, this affects your digital foot print safe wise and appropriate wise. Its good to not overshare because you would be telling everyone where you are, what you like, when your not at your house, when you are. its good to not share as much and to keep it to a minimum.

3. If you could go back in time, is there anything that you would do differently online? Think of what advice you would pass on to your younger self or other students.

I dont have any huge regrets, one of the reason is being my parents help guild me to be safe. One thing they said was to never use you name on social media platforms and to keep my acconts private. This made sure that onyl the people i knew in real life could acess my account. if there is any advice i would give to other studnets is to wait a day before posting something, dont do it right away. You mgiht regret it and its good to think about it for a day before fully deciding.
