1. How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities? Give at least two examples.

Managers of jobs I might want could look at my social medias and get infromation about me from there. So I have to have to be careful not to make myself look bad online. People might also want to use my posts or comments online against me in the future in the same way. If my footprint is good, people would want to hire or protmote me more if they see my skills.

2. Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe.

You can think if you can back up what you will say if somebody disagreed with you. You can also check if your post is kind, or can be taken the wrong way. You basically only want to make posts or comments that will have a positive outcome. The final thing is that you never want to be rude, or to anything illegal. Make sure that what you are doing is allowed and it won’t me mean to anybody. So looking at yourself from an outside perspective you can see if you are coming across as rude.

3. If you could go back in time, is there anything that you would do differently online? Think of what advice you would pass on to your younger self or other students.

Try not to force online relationships. If people online have an argument, it is a lot easier to say mean things online. In person it could not be as big of a problem, but online you can me rude easily. So I would tell my past self not to be friends with people who don’t want to, or else you’d hurt everyone around you as well. This is wahat I would tell to students as well.
