  1. Your PP was an effective overview of your in-depth. Which of the projects did you enjoy the most and why?

    1. Great question! I enjoyed the mountain sashiko piece the most since it didn’t take to long and I really liked the design. The stitching I thought was really neat and I was very proud of how it turned out.

  2. Hi Hailey!
Wow, these design are so beautiful! I really want to learn cross-stitching as well. I didn’t get to read all of your previous posts on in-depth, so I had a couple of questions:

Is it possible to cross-stitch on all types of fabric? If not, which ones work best? What were some difficulties you had along the way?

Thanks for sharing with us! Keep it up!
    Kailey

    1. Thank you so much Kailey! It is possible to do it on most basic types of fabric but there is a specific type of fabric specially made for cross stitch that you can easily find online if you search “cross stitch fabric”! Some difficulties I faced was having to change my project from costume making to hand stitching then figuring out what techniques worked best for each type of sewing I tried. Thank you for asking!

  3. Hailey your stitching pieces look awesome and I can just tell it took a long time and a lot of patience to complete them lol

    1. Thank you so much aVe lol. Your project turned out amazing as well and I loved seeing your progress behind the scenes!

  4. Hi Hailey,

Your stitching on the piece on your second slide is so precise. Did you draw your pattern on the fabric first?

    1. That pattern came printed on the fabric in a sashiko kit. Thank you so much for the compliment and I hope you have a good time checking out everyone’s posts!

    1. Thank you so much Jian! My favourite to make was the mountain piece since I love the design and it was just the right size! Your song sounded amazing btw!

  5. this is AMAZING Hailey! This must have taken a really long time and a lot of patience! Great work!

  6. You did an amazing job Hailey! I can tell it took lots of patience and you put a lot of effort into your pieces.

  7. Hey Hailey! I loved how detailed and aesthetic your pieces were. When you were stitching, were you focused on working the whole time, or did you listen to any music/podcasts to pass the time?

    1. Thank you so much Lucas! Since I would sit and sew for a few hours at a time I would usually have YouTube or Netflix going in the background to pass the time. I would usually pick a show or video I didn’t have to constantly watch so kind of like podcasts. Thank you for the great question!

  8. Wow, they look really cool! Your pieces are so detailed. Keep up the amazing work! 🙂

  9. Great Job, Hailey! Beautiful, detailed works of art in needlecraft… a lost art. So glad to see you picked this for In-Depth!

  10. Cool project Hailey! Why did you choose stitching as your topic? How long did each piece take? Great work!

    1. Thanks! Originally my topic was costume making but due to quarantine, I had to change my topic because I didn’t have to right supplies. My grandmother had a few of these pieces laying around so I decided it was close enough to my original topic and it seemed fun so I chose it! The time it took to finish each project really depends on the size of the piece. The mountain piece in total probably took like a day but the 4 foot piece took at least a week. Thank you for the great questions!
